David Beckham will be playing in the MLS starting in August. He going to sign a five-year deal with the L.A. Galaxy. This is awesome, if only because I'll get to take photos of him when he comes to D.C.

I dunno... he didn't do much for Real in 3 years there, aside from selling jerseys. But you have to sell a LOT of concessions to make up that $1mil a week salary...
Said, I'm pretty stoked too.
You know, though I'm still on the fence about whether this is a good thing or not, if it does help to step up the MLS, then I guess its a smart move.
